You already know what makes Prince George’s County special. Now, we want to help you figure out how to make the best of your future there.

We’ll show you how others have found fulfilling and impactful career paths in all sorts of fields right where you live in Maryland. Some of these people have four-year degrees, others went to technical schools. Some took internships, others got certifications. But all of them have found something they love doing in Prince George’s County!

And by hearing their stories, you’ll learn how you can make your own mark on the county too!

Fueled by Employ Prince George’s, this is an experience you’ll never forget. So apply now and get ready for the next phase of your future!

We’re looking for you if:

- You’re toward the beginning of your career journey

- You attended a public high school in Prince George’s County (but still apply if you attended a private or charter school in the area!)

- You’re open to exploring various pathways to success including two- and four-year degree paths, certifications, apprenticeships, and technical schools

- You’re looking for the next step on your path

What is this for?

You’ll be applying to be part of Roadtrip Nation’s public television series about how people find their paths in life. And we want to highlight you and share your story too.

For this two-episode series, we’re focusing on how people in and around Prince George’s County acquired the skills they needed to build the lives they wanted right in Maryland.

You'll be meeting with professionals (and potential mentors!) working in construction/real estate, STEM, health care, transportation, government/nonprofit work, and other sectors—and you'll have the chance to interview them about what their work is really like, and what it took to get there.

But this is also so much more than a TV show—it’s an opportunity for you to get out there, get exposure to new paths and possibilities, and talk to people whose stories can change your life.

Additional Information:

- We’ll be filming in November 2024, and we’ll work with you to schedule around your life and commitments during that time. The plan is to take a series of day trips around Prince George’s County.

- All travel expenses—plus a daily stipend for personal expenses—are paid for by Roadtrip Nation. We’ll work with you to make sure the stipend covers what you need to be able to participate.

- The experience will be filmed, and you’ll be asked to share your thoughts and feelings on-camera throughout the journey. The resulting documentary may be shown on public television, and/or used in Roadtrip Nation’s educational tools.

- If selected, you’ll help plan the experience around your interests and career aspirations—so you’ll need to work with Roadtrip Nation to research and book interviews with the career role models you’d like to speak with.

- After filming is over, we’ll provide you with six months of free personalized career coaching and support from InsideTrack to help you pursue your life, education, and career goals.
