You already know what makes Pennsylvania special. Now, we want to help you figure out how to make the best of your future there.
We’ll show you how others have found fulfilling and impactful career paths in the health care, life sciences, IT, clean energy, manufacturing, and education sectors—all near your hometown. Some of these people have four-year degrees, others went to technical schools. Some took internships, others got certifications. Some work union jobs, others work non-union. But all of them have found something they love doing near Philadelphia!
And by hearing their stories, you’ll learn how you can make your own mark on Southeast Pennsylvania too.
Fueled by Philadelphia Works, this is an experience you’ll never forget. So apply now and get ready for the next phase of your future!
We’re looking for you if:
You’re toward the beginning of your career journey
You’re not quite sure what you want to do with your life, but you could see yourself going into health care, life sciences, IT, energy, manufacturing, or education
You live in one of the following counties: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia
You’re looking for the next step on your path
What is this for?
You’ll be applying to be part of Roadtrip Nation’s public television series about how people find their paths in life. And we want to highlight you and share your story too.
For this two-episode series, we’re focusing on how people in and around Philadelphia acquired the skills they needed to build the lives they wanted in Southeast Pennsylvania.
You'll be meeting with professionals (and potential mentors!) working in the health care, life sciences, IT, energy, manufacturing, and education sectors—and you'll have the chance to interview them about what their work is really like, and what it took to get there.
But this is also so much more than a TV show—it’s an opportunity for you to get out there, get exposure to new paths and possibilities, and talk to people whose stories can change your life.
Additional Information:
We’ll be filming in March 2024, and we’ll work with you to schedule around your life and commitments during that time.
All travel expenses—plus a daily stipend for personal expenses—are paid for by Roadtrip Nation. We’ll work with you to make sure the stipend covers what you need to be able to participate.
The experience will be filmed, and you’ll be asked to share your thoughts and feelings on-camera throughout the journey. The resulting documentary may be shown on public television, and/or used in Roadtrip Nation’s educational tools.
If selected, you’ll help plan the experience around your interests and career aspirations—so you’ll need to work with Roadtrip Nation to research and book interviews with the career role models you’d like to speak with.
After filming is over, we’ll provide you with six months of free personalized career coaching and support from InsideTrack to help you pursue your life, education, and career goals.
