We’re looking for people who want to actively shape the future of education by launching their own ideas to transform what K-12 classrooms look like. So if you dream of creating your own radically new education venture—a new kind of school, new technologies and platforms, new kinds of hands-on and experiential programs, and beyond—we want to hear from you!
Did you go to a non-traditional school? Do you wish you did? Do you ever wonder why so many tools and technologies are taking forever to trickle down and transform how kids learn? On this journey, you’ll see how inspiring entrepreneurs are bringing new education ideas to life all across the country—and how you can do it too.

You’re toward the beginning of your career journey
You want to use your natural propensity for innovation to help better everyone’s education
You attended a microschool, were homeschooled, or had a non-traditional education
You had a traditional education but have some big ideas for how it could’ve been better
You’re looking for the next step on your path
What is this for?
You’ll be applying to be part of Roadtrip Nation’s public television series about how people find their paths in life. And we want to highlight you and share your story too.
You'll meet education entrepreneurs creating microschools, experiential programs, new tech tools and platforms, and more, to help lay the groundwork for student success in countless ways—and you'll have the chance to interview them about what it’s like to transform how we educate.
Still, this is so much more than a TV show—it’s an opportunity for you to get out there, get exposure to new paths and possibilities, and talk to people whose stories can change your life.

We’ll be filming in July, and we’ll work with you to schedule around your life and commitments during that time.
All travel expenses—plus a daily stipend for personal expenses—are paid for by Roadtrip Nation. We’ll work with you to make sure the stipend covers what you need to be able to participate.
The experience will be filmed, and you’ll be asked to share your thoughts and feelings on-camera throughout the journey. The resulting documentary may be shown on public television, and/or used in Roadtrip Nation’s educational tools.
If selected, you’ll help plan the experience around your interests and career aspirations—so you’ll work with Roadtrip Nation to research and book interviews with the career role models you’d like to speak with.
After filming is over, we’ll provide you with six months of free personalized career coaching and support from InsideTrack to help you pursue your life, education, and career goals.

How the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our road trips and applications: Your health and safety and the safety of our crew is our main priority, and we won’t hit the road until it’s safe to do so. We’re continuing with our process of selecting participants for this trip, though it’s possible that deadlines and travel dates may shift as the situation with COVID-19 evolves.
