Hey, Gen Z! Everyone’s talking about your generation’s mental health and wellbeing—but is anyone actually listening to YOU?
What does wellbeing really look like for you, your friends, your family, your community? And more importantly…what do you hope it looks like for everyone in the future? It’s time to get in the driver’s seat, and lead the conversation around how we can do wellbeing better.
This summer, Roadtrip Nation is filming a documentary following three young people as they travel across the country to explore the wide array of careers and pathways they can pursue in service of creating greater wellbeing for all.
You’ll meet and interview inspiring people whose work across a variety of fields is helping to support mental, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing in surprising and innovative ways—and you’ll discover how your unique interests and path can help to reshape how we think about and support mental health and wellbeing overall.
Fueled by Pinterest, the Lisa Stone Pritzker Family Foundation, and lululemon, this road trip experience is all about showing how YOU can impact broader communities and create systemic change where everyone has a fair opportunity to thrive.
We’re looking for you if:
You are at the beginning of your school or career journey (age 18+)
You are deeply engaged with ideas around mental health and wellbeing, as it relates to your communities and yourself
You are eager to explore future educational and career aspirations across the many facets of wellbeing (emotional, mental, physical, and social)
You want to help others and increase access and support for better mental health and wellbeing outcomes
What is this for?
You’ll be applying to be part of Roadtrip Nation’s public television series about how people find their path in life. And we want to highlight you and share your story too.
But this is also so much more than a TV show—this is an opportunity for you to get out there, get exposure to new paths and possibilities, and talk to people whose stories can change your life.
If selected, you’ll get a generous paid stipend to cover personal expenses and needs as a result of participating, and we’ll work with you to make this fit into your life.
We’ll be filming in August 2025, and we’ll also work together to schedule around you and provide support for what you need to make this opportunity work.
Your story is important, and we want to make sure you have the support you need to meet financial obligations and life responsibilities while participating.
Additional Information:
We’ll be filming in August 2025, and we’ll work with you to schedule around your class schedule, life, and commitments during that time.
All travel expenses—plus a daily stipend for personal expenses—are paid for by Roadtrip Nation. We’ll work with you to make sure the stipend covers what you need to be able to participate.
The experience will be filmed, and you’ll be asked to share your thoughts and feelings on-camera throughout the journey—we’ll also make sure to provide mental health support throughout the trip to ensure your wellbeing. The resulting documentary may be shown on public television, and/or used in Roadtrip Nation’s educational tools.
If selected, you’ll help plan the experience around your interests and career aspirations—so you’ll need to work with Roadtrip Nation to research and book interviews with the career role models you’d like to speak with.
After filming is over, we’ll provide you with six months of free personalized career coaching and support from InsideTrack to help you pursue your life, education, and career goals.
